Olympic Possibilities

This summer is a great time for me to share my Fencing Manual for Women for those new to the party, tagging on to the fact that sport, including fencing, is on 247 for the next couple of weeks.
Early adopters already know about my time-travelling ruse but as Acts of Creation has brought me into contact with a new audience I am thrilled to be able to explain it anew.
As entertainment to myself I always distil things into a tabloid style. If I can’t explain it in a few sentences no one is ever going to understand it. I did the work, so you don’t have to. This may be inexplicable to my friends who were not brought up on Charlie Brooker.
Crafty arty naked artist Jessa Fairbrother uses needles and swords in an old book and exhibition on exhibitionism!
Funny-fanny-Fairbrother has made some time-travelling alter-egos and invented a book and a show about fencing and embroidery – and wants to show it all together in the same room!
Her idea is set both in olden times and in the future…
Using a book she invented to look like it came from more than two hundred years ago she shows how women from the past would have used fencing swords just the same as how a man would do.
She then pretends it’s the 1970s to show how the book was used when women were learning to burn their bras, not have babies, and find out about themselves a bit more.
Finally she imagines what it might be like when women in the future don’t have to worry about fighting other people (men) and can just fight feelings of existential crisis!
Deep! We can’t wait!!!
